The most detailed painting I have ever done thus far, its colors seem out of this time and world. In contrast, I put traditional pieces of home furniture and heavy
velvet curtains to debut this scene, bathing the woman in luxuy.
The original watercolor is in Sausalito, California.

About Frances Ku
Frances has been drawing since three years of age. Born in Taiwan and raised in Okinawa, she took art classes throughout high school and went to Parsons School of Design in New York City for a year. She also went back to Taiwan and drew political cartoons for a daily newspaper. Her desire to create beauty eventually led her to Maui, Hawaii. At 32 years old, she finally began painting full time by teaching herself watercolors. Watercoloring for her has been a lesson in respecting the element of water and being a co-creating partner to the dance.
