Artist's Description
It comes at a time least expected. That moment of realization, the long-awaited inspiration, the turn of events desperately sought, the surprise opportunity, the twist of fate that brings us a gasp of joy.
This is my artistic expression of such an experience, which has led me to teaching Creative Healing classes. I have been wanting to do something with art in a deep, profound way, and I have found it! Art transcends beyond an end to itself, and becomes a tool for discovery and change.
I hope this painting inspires you as much as I was inspired to create it.

About Frances Ku
Frances has been drawing since three years of age. Born in Taiwan and raised in Okinawa, she took art classes throughout high school and went to Parsons School of Design in New York City for a year. She also went back to Taiwan and drew political cartoons for a daily newspaper. Her desire to create beauty eventually led her to Maui, Hawaii. At 32 years old, she finally began painting full time by teaching herself watercolors. Watercoloring for her has been a lesson in respecting the element of water and being a co-creating partner to the dance. Watercolor's challenges taught her important lessons about painting and life: to let go of control, be open to surprises, and appreciate the magic moment. And only by experimenting and pushing...
